I know I should not have done it but there was this camaro on the freeway and I hit the switch I took him up until I heard a pop and lost most of the power. I did a compression check and here are the results of my stupidity on just 92 octane:
cylinder#1 169psi
cylinder#2 0psi
cylinder#3 159psi
cylinder#4 169psi

My haynes manual says to put about three squirts of oil in the cylinder and if the compression increases then it is the piston rings and if not it can be the head gasket. I don't think that it is the head because I had that ported and polished so I think it should be able to handle it. I plan on later on today to do the oil in the cylinder to do a process of elimination.
And just think perfect timeing I am going on deployment in less than a week so I better hurry up and fix my car. Thanks:confused:

Quick way to check if it was the head gasket is to just check your oil quality. If it blew the head gasket you will have chocolate milk instead of oil. :( Goodluck!

Spraying a 80 shot you should be fine on 92 octane gas!

Usually a blown head gasket will show low compression or 0 compression in 2 cylinders. You may have popped a valve, piston, or ring.

Thanks for the replies guys I plan on checking later on in the evening and I do hope that it is the head gasket or at the very least a piston ring I will keep you all informed as soon as I find out thanks.

Well I guess my head is not as bulletproof as I thought one of the exhaust valvles has a hole in it. My pistonrings and headgasket is fine. I don't think I can have my head fixed in 3 days so I guess I am screwed untill I come back. Anybody have a highport head laying around?
