: Miles/KM per tank?
Bronze NX1600 09-01-2002, 09:13 PM Hey I was just wondering approx how many miles or kilometers do you guys get per tank in your NX's.
It only costs me about 24 bucks CDN funds to fill it up and this time around im a little under half full and already have 330km so far from this tank.
Im just wondering if thats average or something is goin good for me =)
Thanks
Koschi 09-02-2002, 04:44 AM with full tank I could drive ~550KM, but mostly long distance turns on a freeway..
wow! 550km? im running about 300ish and im already at empty(ish).
i think my sensor is messed up....the gas light also doesnt turn on and for some reason the guage drops really fast after the 3/4 tank mark...its like 150km @ 3/4 then 200km @ 1/4 tank...
also the fsm sez we got a 50L tank...but im filling up 29-30L when the guage sez E...
you guys think its the sensor too? oh...its not that im not running it all dry either....i ran out of gas once because the light didnt come on and the guage was between E and 1/4.
RollcageSR20 09-02-2002, 12:25 PM I usually got anywhere between 270mi and 330mi (11 gallons, 87 octane when stock, 91 octane as is). The most I have ever gotten was 380 miles going from San Jose to Los Angeles; 11 gallons, average speed of 80mph. That was with the car modified as is (I/H/E, ECU, pulleys, stripped interior, etc.)
Bronze NX1600 09-02-2002, 12:26 PM Yah the way things are looking, ill be able to get about 550-600 a tank.
Pretty good for 24 bucks eh
Loe Lyf 09-02-2002, 01:29 PM 230km = 42 litres (Ultra 94):D

ok...that makes me feel better about my mileage....
i guess the 2.0L uses that much more fuel eh? wow....1.6 is harsh econo...
hooligan NX2000 09-02-2002, 04:46 PM i drove about 277 miles non-stop with 89 octane gas. i think that was about 10 gallons with average speed of 80MPH...
i use 89octane *** for some reason i get better gas milage than with 87. usually i get about 30mpg. and when i was using 87 i was getting only around 20 or so. mpg. ???
Koschi 09-02-2002, 05:14 PM the guys here with their SR20 could drive up to ~450 KM with full tank and moderate driving(remember, if we want, we were allowed to drive as fast as we want - no speed limit on most freeways :D). so it fits with your posts...
santo51 09-03-2002, 12:07 AM i know that one problem that the NX has is the fact that the gas gauge is incorrect.
look here http://www.se-r.net/car_info/problems/fuel_guage.html
but i find that i can do about 60 miles per 1/4 tank so that makes 240 miles per tank. but i never took it all the way til the light went on. (mainly cause im afraid that it wont and i will be left somewhere.)
im geting about 350km with mixed driving 92 or 94 octane, i think my O2 sencer is toast and my cat is probly choked to hell too.
but thats all coming out vary soon when i throw my turbo in hopfuly happing with in a month. wonder how that will afect my fuel lol

I changed my O2 sensor this weekend so i should be getting better k's soon...... i hope. About 325km with a busted O2 sensor.
Fonque 09-03-2002, 11:42 PM i was getting about 230 mi to a tank, then i replaced my o2 sensor and now im getting like 260 to a tank with mix of city highway driving, im sure i could crack 300mi if i went on a long distance trip and im not easy on the gas either.
nx2000racer 09-04-2002, 11:44 AM 230-260 miles, i fill up between empty and a 1/4
best i've done is 540km/tank
gas light no work. it works but only when it is empty. it's more like a you're screwed light. ran outta gas twice.
gauge is so screwed up, shows empty when im at about 420 but there's like another 1/4 tank in there
aknapp 09-06-2002, 05:39 PM I would regularly get 270 miles/tank (approx. 10 gallons) with 50/50 city/highway driving, fairly aggressive driving (lots of >4000 RPM), and before the JWT ECU. After the ECU, the same kind of driving would only net 240 miles/tank. Does anyone know if this is normal with JWT ECU?
BTW, the farthest I ever drove was 390 miles/tank. I filled up in Jackson, WY, drove thru Grand Teton NP, into Yellowstone, then out the east entrance of Yellowstone and all the way down to Cody, WY. About half of this distance (the half that was not in the mountains!) was averaging 80 MPH.
Made several trips through South Dakota averaging 80 MPH and would get approx. 330 miles/tank.
kleensleeper 09-07-2002, 07:29 PM I've had my O2 sensor in for about one week now & i got 515KM to the tank on 92 octane chevron gas. The gas light did not even come on yet.
CarloSR 09-10-2002, 10:36 PM i`d regulary get 400km on the city and abut 515 on highways, with some rev limiter.
