for the s13 sr20det motor, will it make a difference in performance and/or sound of the BOV if it gets placed on the throttle body side or the turbo side?

The BOV should be right near the TB, so all the air that bounces back when the throttle plate closes can exit through the BOV. If you put it near the turbo, it doesnt do anything.
