well... I got the car started.. but it's having some issues. It won't idle.. and it feels like it's missing on one cylinder. I couldn't keep it running to check under the hood though. I have a set of S4's in the car and 9.0:1 compression. I have a 3 bar 50 lb ECU in it right now.. because I am waiting for my 300zxTT maf to come in for the 4 bar program. My question is.. if the ECU isn't programmed for the S4 cams.. will it have idling issues? I mean.. it won't idle at all.. It cranks up... revs to about 1200rpm.. and then dies. I haven't realy fooled with it.. I'm tired... so I'll look at it tomorrow... Any suggestions? IACV maybe?

Check your Vacume lines, Sounds like a bad leak to me.

you soundslike your getting a leak from somewhere, you changed intercooler too right, you should check your connectors too.

well.. I figured out the main problem.. the set screw on the ECU was halfway turned.. So.. I fixed that and now it just won't idle. It runs fine on the highway... but when I come to a stop.. it dies. The ECU is throwing an IACV code.. so I will change that out tonight.

unlucky what SR20DET do you have specificly (sp)? Bluebird or Avenir. If you have an Avenir DET the FICD and IACV are different. The FICD on the Avenir is rated at 75 ohms. The FICD on the USDM SR20DE is rated at 70 ohms. The IACV on the Avenir is totally different than the USDM SR20DE IACV. But I think I remember hearing that they revised IACV for the SR20DE so it probably is not the issue...........but maybe FICD is. Just thought I'd share that with you, I could be a possibilty.

I have an SR20DE. The intake manifold is from a 93 SE-R. I keep getting a code for the IACV... I took just the motor out... and tried another used one.. But I still get the code. So.. I will check the wiring out.. and get a new IACV from Nissan today. What does the FICD do? I've heard of it.. but never realy looked into it.

ok.. now another question.. I traced the wire coming from the ECU (pin 101) for the IACV. That one is fine.. now.. the wire coming out of the other side of the IACV is the one that has me puzzled. I figured that it would go to ground. But.. I have a 200sx here and I checked it on his car. On his car.. I'm measuring like .70 when I check the resistance between that wire and ground. So, I'm assuming that it doesn't go straight to ground from there. Does anyone know where that wire goes when it leaves the IACV?

I figured it out.. The IACV is powered on by the ECM relay. So.. it get's 12 volts from that.. and then the ECU get's a signal from there. I was thinking that the ECU sent voltage. problem solved.. :)
