As I was cleaning up the BB DET motor and beginning the sensor swaps I notices theres a chunk of plastic broken off of the DET coil ...before I do anything stupid ...is it safe to swap it out with the DE Coil?? I'm sure it would be but I like to double check first.

same coil it's ok to change.just swap tps. coolant temp sensor and sending unit next to it.
