Here is my problem.. I have searched for months and done many things advised from this forum prior to this post.

I have a front end noise (driver side) which does sounds like a bad wheel bearing (low growling/humming sound)on drivers side but both the bearings and the axles have both been replaced in last few weeks. Growling noise can be heard driving straight and to the right but goes away when i turn left also when i clutch in and take foot of the gas it ceases. Noise is speed related faster i go the noise follows in tone.

I think may be need new hub but not sure.

The car 93 nx2k 5 speed has a new JDM sr20de in it but orig tranny: here is what i have done to address this problem so far after searching on this forum before crying for help!

New bearings both sides
New axles both sides
new mtr mounts (all)
changed tire position
new lower ball joints both sides
new sway bar links driver side
new outer tie rod end driver side
new rotors and pads both sides

Any ideas would be welcome.

Also i just put in a new clutch and t/o and after that i am getting popping noises seems low down near steering and clutch cable area, may not be related but annoying als

You might need a replacement hub on that left side. Can you feel any play in the hub? Pop the axle out of the hub, turn the spindle. If it spins easily/quietly, then the hub/wheel bearing is fine. In that case, I would suspect the inner tie rods, or the steering rack entirely.

THX for suggestions..i was thinking the hub..maybe bearing got so bad it was dragging the races with it!!

i do notice both bellows on the rack are torn what could that cause eventually?

If it WAS a mount which one would you suspect?

Do you think that popping noise i mention at the end of my original question is related or could be to this or a another issue. The clutch cable does squeek on release and is getting worse should i change it? once again this was changed only 5 k miles ago.

cheers

You mentioned a new clutch and T/O bearing. What brand are they?

i have the car in the air right now so i will check that again. Like i said this noise is direction related (to the right) and clutch engagement also stops it. Do you think the clutch being pressed in just decreases vibration and that is why it gets better when engaged? or points to something else as a potential problem?

thx for input...cheers
