mattro 04-26-2009, 02:45 PM so i took out my dif to weld it. while putting it back in i realized i took off two bands that hold the dif into the housing, and that they would most likely have specific ftlbs they should be torqued to.:eek: the vehicle is a 91 240 and i could relly use some help here. if theres a place i could find other tq specs too like a archive that would be great to know about. thanks for the help. mattro 04-28-2009, 04:19 PM bump. would really like to put my dif back into my car. Rittmeister 04-28-2009, 04:27 PM If you're talking about the four bolts that hold the diff carrier in the pumpkin, they're 65-72 ft-lb Ring gear-to-diff bolts are 98-112 ft lb Diff cover is 12-17 ft lb. There's no archive of this stuff, because it's too easy to download the FSM.
