so first im told a 240sx maf will work fine without moding my ecu start the car plug in the maf kills the car then tekkie tells me use 54mm bored housing with 53j00 maf sensor and i wont have to mod my ecu. start the car runs fine but i plug in the maf it dies immediately.. any advice please feel free to let me know. if not i guess the next thing to do is b uy a jwt ecu used from someone( if you have one let me know) if that still doesnt work im ***** set tthe bitch on fire:biggthump

it is the u12 bluebird tmic fwd in a 91 sentra and its the ecu they gave me with the motor and harness its the stock jdm sr20det ecu should be fine but i guess i might have to mod it whcich i dont want to do

You definately have a bad ecu/maf combo. You will either need the maf for that ecu or an ecu programmed for whatever maf you want to run. You bench test the mafs to make sure they are good? I got a z32 maf off ebay and it says I have 30% air flow w/ key on and measures over 3v w/ key on. It should measure less than 1v

yeah i tested all that im just not sure what kind of voltage the ecu wants to see

get your self a jwt ecu and pick up the maf that its programmed for. just make sur that its programmed for your inj(im assuming that your running stock 370's). it will eliminate alot of headache and time. i went through the same thing and just totally ruined the fun out of the swap for me. i should have just went with the jwt ecu. ive learned ALOT on here since then.

call jwt and send them your chip inside of the ecu, so you dont have to lay out money for a core charge(250 xtra..ouch). it will be 100 bux and they'll send you a new chip programmed for what ever you want. 370's, and what maf your running. personally, i would just go with an n60 maf. they are pretty cheap and easy to find. nismo94tuner has one for sale right now in forced induction.

It should see less than 1v w/ key on engine off.
