So i take off the other day from a light. im wide open throttle, *automatic tranny* it gets to about 6300, shifts, and almost feels like for the next few seconds im down on power. almost as if i was in nuetral for a split second, were it was reving, but wasnt accelerating anymore. my first thoughts, i fuked the car....

i take it easy back to my house, watching temp, which stays normal. i get out, check oil, its good. blown headgasket i begin to think..

i get back in the car the next day, drive it like normal... seems to be back to normal. i get on it a little bit, sure enough its fine.
to make sure i really get on it like before, and it feels fine.
this ever happen to anyone else? its a scary feeling. almost like your compression is toast, and theres no power....but it came back. car runs perfect like usual now.

BTW, it didnt come out of drive or anything.

Sounds like the tranny was slipping.

i agree, a car of mine (non-nissan) tranny did that when the tranny fluid was low, check that first....

Had a honda civic that did that after throwing it from drive into park at 50 mph. Broke that pin thingy and my would over redline at full throttle.....sometimes would rev but not go anywhere when it was really beat on. I hate autos. I was 16....I didnt know how to drive. :D

that use to heppen to me when i had my Auto Tracker,
all i needed was some transmission fluid.
Def. Check that ** anything else, it may save u
