you can have one made for cheaper than that, but if no one near you can make it, then go to yahoo auctions japan.

ya i want it attached to the pillers and such. i like in a tiny town in colorado and the only person that has the ability to do it is an off road shop and thats what he quoted me. but thanks :)

i want it comp legal is my problem lol. i want a weld in cage, attached to pillars and what not. more less a rally spec cage....for the street :D

body question. i did a custom 3" turbo back exhaust and it warped my rear bumper from the heat....i feel kinda stupid but hey, im 18 and it was a learning experience(and looking to be an expensive one) do any of u know if there is any US car that would fit with out a bunch of modding( im cool with cutting it up a lil..i just dont want to havt to spend a week laying fiberglass to make it work)

just buy a new bumper you can get them for like 50 to 70 dollars if you know the right person.

Sorry if I'm digging up an old post, but $2,800 is a pretty good deal ESPECIALLY if he's tying into the A pillars. There's a minimum of $400-500 in materials in an 8+ point cage after tubing, flat stock, abrasive wheels, filler, shielding gas, electric etc. There's a good 40-50 hours in a custom cage install, so your builder is looking at between $40-$50 per hour labor. That's pretty cheap.

I'd make sure that you see some of the shops work first. 4x shops don't necessarily know road race/rally type rules. Make sure that you're both on the same page.

still have mine that is a nissan one. where you get to keep your back seats and has plates on both sides that you can weld but is still super strong. PM for it.
