Before i get to the reasoning in this post let me first vent in a off topic way. Why do people vandalize others cars. Not to break into them but just vandalize. I live in what used to be a very good community where you could leave everything unlocked and opened. Lately there seems to be an abundance of scum moving in everywhere. My frinds crx just got keyed down the block from me right next to the police station. The lady upstairs from me's brand new car just got keyed. And this morning i go out to see my passenger side rear 1/4 window smashed in. Good timing too because i was just about to pay my $1100 insurance bill and get a new clutch *** mine is at the end of it's life. I barley have enough money to pay for my insurance.

Now on to the real questions, does anyone know about how much those rear 1/4 windows goes for? Does anyone have one or know a junkyard with one around NY, *** i havent found one in my area yet? Does anyone know if there is somewhere that makes Lexan windows for the NX?

Thanks for leting me vent. If the admins must move this i understand but there is some specific NX questions iin there too.

Thta quarter window is a PITA. You gotta replace the window including the frame.

Do me a favor, save something off the old window when you get the new one. The little triangle moulding on the bottom of the window trim.

Call Queens Nissan, ask for Reid. I get it cheaper than you probally but you still have to get it installed. As for used, they will probally break it trying to get it off. Unless they have done these before. Call Satellite Glass in Brooklyn and see if they have them. I know they had a few NX's in their yard in the past year or so.

The thing that really upsets me is that i had a cd case sitting right there in the compartment under the window. All they did was punch out the window. The police said i was the fifth criminal mischief report today. Someone must have gotten tipsey last night from some alcohol and decided to vandalize some stuff. Glad they picked my car out of 15. I say screw the new window. I will just get some lexan ones and shave a couple lbs. Plus good luck shattering those. Prolly just crack them. If only i could get a hold of mickey and his nx drag car with the lexan windows.

that sux. sorry. i know the feeling kinda. but it was my old car that was busted into for a pair of sunglasses and about 5 quarters.

Those people suck ass! Both me and my brother had our stereos stolen out of our cars in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Neenah WI. Both diff years, both cars parked in driveway. His window got smahed and they bent his rear seat trying to get into the trunk of his prelude before they found the trunk poper in (1998). In both cases just subs/boxes and amps, no cd's , head units or mids and highs. Mine happened in like mid 2000. My alarm was purchased and getting put in the next day.:mad:

u can get lexan or something similar at pretty much any hardware store...
you might need to do a ghetto job though...but it might look ok. Wouldn't cost more than 5-10 bucks...

I can get the sheets, but the trick is molding it to the shape of the window. The OE window is broken and not there so it would be more difficult shaping it. I would have to first shape and cut to rear driver side window, then just shape it to the front passenger side window. Then i still have to tint it because it would look horrible without it. I dont even know if tint will work.
