Its going into my "new" '96 SE-R (OBDII, right?)... looks like it already had a swap too (valve cover?) before the timing chain snapped.

They are the same engines.

beware on buyin used engines from usdm cars... i know some people just pull them to put det's in, but they still usualy have pretty high mileage at that point unless it was a previous jdm swap.. i my self was a victum.. i bought a engine for 80 bux.. had a bunch of the jdm stuff on it.. turns out it was the usdm one they put all the jdm stuff they couldnt / didnt want to use on it an sold it to me.. i know better now :)

Looks like you got yourself a lowport out of a '95 - '99 200sx or G20.
9.5:1 compression .

yeah, the chassis has over 210K ... so i figure the busted engine in it (w/ infiniti valve cover) isn't the the original.

I WAS gonna drop in a Bluebird or GTiR, up until i had to drop all my cash for tuition. Now i just want to get up and running so i don't have a driveway ornament. I was told the engine was in really good shape...so i hope i wasn't ripped off. we'll see soon enough...

for 80 bucks, how are you gonna argue how good a motor is gonna be?
