Got to love a good track day. Interesting course w/big speed changes, ~110-120 off the wall into turn 1, no braking gets you a 100 mph entrance speed. Fun learning to get up close and personal (but not too personal) with a wall at 100 mph plus :D
Can't match 300 whp modified Evo's on the banking, but with better lines and approach not giving up much on the rest. Just need a bit more power for exit speed, think my C2 JWT cams are coming out of their box and into the car. Warm humid day, true CAI made a hell of a difference - I keep a temp probe on the filter tip, rarely saw more than high 80's with underhood temps well over 120 deg F. Pretty strong pull for a stock 10:1 DE w/bolt-ons.
For a street tire, the new Kuhmo XS's are the shit for a cheap but very good autocross and track day tire, I can't believe how much better they are than the old MX's. I'll put them up with RE01R's or Falkens no prob.
First vid is Individual Time Trial, timing starts at end of first lap which is why you don't see drag race launch - flying lap TT style, best of two laps timed.
