Ever since I had my car alarm installed a few weeks back, the people there told me my car would not alarm when opening the driver's side due to bad connectors that I have to order from Nissan. So bored this morning, decided to unscrew the door sensor (that button with the rubber cover on the lower side of the door jam) and see what was up. I pulled off the connector with some long-nosed pliers from the wiring harness and decided to clean the metal connectors on the pins seeing it as it was full of some white residue. Re-snapping the connectors back on, I "electrical taped" (new word) it together for security. Screwing it back on to the door jam with a philips and to my amazement, the buzzer started buzzing (key was in) which never did that before when I bought the car. And a few more turns on the screw and the dome light came on. Voila! dome light door sensor and car alarm problem solved.
