idk but just curious.

On my b14 sr20de+t on the stock plastic rad with stock fans ran about 190-200 degress on a good warm to hot day which i heard is normal. Well i know ive been needing to upgrade and i went with a koyo and some 1600cfm slim fans that i now wired to stock harness to cut on when ecu tells it to as they do stock

Now i dont know if this is correct but i run prosport gauges which are pretty good and accurate and my car in the morning on the way to work tends to run pretty cool when i leave at 6am and its about in the low to mid 70'S in the morning and the car runs about 140 degrees constant on the highway trip at about 80mph which is really cool and good i guess. maybe 150. Then when i get off the highway and go from light to light only does it warm up to around 180.

Then when i get off work, air temps are about 85-89 here in fl and car runs about 175-180 on highway at the same speed. sometimes 190 but rarely

the car only really warms up when its at idle or im not going as fast. At idle it gets to about 200-210 but never gets past 210 which im guessing it soon. and when it does, the fans cut on briefly then cut off and it sits at about 200degrees.

Fluids are 50/50 and some extra water and royal purple ice.

Does this sound right to u guys? Also what temps does the stock fans meant to cut on?

idk if this makes a difference but my water adapter for my gauges is put in beween the radiator hose on the thermostat side as ive seen most ppl do, dont know if it needs to be on other side or not. But car other than that runs great and cant complain. Koyos rock

thanks

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck in the open position.

Sounds like it's doing fine.

I have a stock radiator and only one stock fan. I have a/c but it's not working. Running avenir with stock t25. I run at 180 until I sit in traffic then it'll go up to 210 and the fan kicks on. When it was cooler outside, I'd run about 160 on the highway.

During winter you might have to put cardboard in front of it to keep your heater working, but since you're in florida, I doubt it gets too cold.

Cooler engine=more power to a point.

well im on the hunt for new radiator hose but im not too sure which ones are gonna fit my brand new koyo. ive been hearing some kits dont fit and this and that. does this look like it would fit a 1997 b14 with a 2.0 koyo correctly??

If you buy the OBX ones, they will probably send you the kit for the 1.6, which won't work.

yea thats what im afraid of. ive been searching everywhere for a good quality set. i head the pulsar ones are a direct fit.......is that true

it looks like the diameter is correct on those obx ones. and there are the exact same shape as my current ones. what do u guys think

The GTi-R hoses will fit on FWD SR20's.

Hmm I thought I was the odd one, My car sits at the 150 mark all the time, Mine is NA, and has dual fans off an Accord on it on a toggle (how it was when I bought it)

Hmmm, interesting. I have heard of some others having issues with the car getting up to even 160* with a koyo. I am rocking a GA16 thick core full alum radiator that I got for cheap. Haven't overheated at all with this bad boy.

As oldman mentioned, it sounds like the T-stat is sticking open.

I drove my sentra (with a koyo) in temps well below -10F for a few winters and as soon as the car warmed up it was rock solid at 170F. Reading was from my ISSPRO gauge at the T-stat housing (CS adapter).

The GTi-R hoses will fit on FWD SR20's.
They're not a direct fitment, but will work with some modifying.

The difference... the diameter on the upper radiator hose which connects to your radiator side is larger (cut a piece of your oem radiator hose, sleeve it over the radiator side and you can snugly slide over the Samco Hose over it)

im prolly just gonna go with the ones on gspec, the red hose techniques. i dont wanna have to worry about hoses fitting or not

Thermostat's stuck open.

Other than that, where is your sender located?

cant be thermostat because it does warm up. i think the water temp sensor needs to be on the other side on the small hose where its more accurate. my needle on my gauge really doesnt start moving until the thermostat opens. and my cluster temp needs reads right around the middle, just a tad lower

The GTI-R ones fit, but to do a clean install, you need to add a GTI-R passenger side water outlet. It's larger in diameter than the DE one, and so is the GTI-R hose, obviously. If you don't want to do that, you can take a piece of your old hose, put it on the inside of the GTI-R hose and clamp it all down. I decided to the the first:

My car is a P10. The radiators on p10's sit out that far from the factory.

Im having similar issue.
Car warms up easily, but when i drive hard, the (stock) temp gauge drops fast and is jerky.
and when slowing down or idling, its solid and less than half way (normal temp)

I think (since I cant seem to find a leak or get any more air bubbles out) its the thermostat stuck, faulty gauge/temp sensor, or air bubble I cant get.

I think your problem is with the signal wire. That's pretty common. Read this:
