there is one hell of a good candidate for a SR20DET swap sitting outside my apartment with a for sale sign on it. the car has a pretty good paint job, but there are like 8 poorly patched holes in the trunk where it looks like at some point in time there was a huge wing. (you know, to generate all that much needed downforce at 45 mph:p ) The interior looks pretty good too. the only thing i don't like about the car is that it's an automatic, but that really shouldn't matter, since all the DET clips come with a 5 spd, right? the guy is asking 4,800 obo. seems kinda like a joke, but i haven't talked to him yet and i am unsure of the mileage, so that can definately be negotiated. so basically, if i bought this car i wouldn't have to worry about a paint job or bringing the interior up to snuff. what do you guys think?

What year is the 240? 5k sounds steep.

Oh yeah you can switch the tranny out when you do the swap. I think it is easier to do it if your car was already manual. The only things I can think of that would be different is the mounts for the clutch master cylinder, clutch pedal and the lines.
