Anyone have pics of how you shaved your det oil pan so it clears the cross member? I can't find my dec. 2001 issue of SCC and none of my friends can either.

It is best to do it once the engine is in the car , you will have to position the engine about how it sits , and put the crossmember in and see where they hit , then grind away , usualy on the webs .... When I did the G20 , I actualy notched the crossmember instead of the pan , but the G20 is different than the Sentras......

Shoot me a pm with your email and I'll send you a pick of what it looks like. It is easier with the motor out of the car. I thought I had ground enough, but once the engine/crossmember was in, it still rubbed when accelerating/decelerating. There is plenty of aluminum to grind off and still be safe.

It must be on G20's (December SCC), Sentra's and NX2000 (that's I've done)

Yeah. This needs to be done to all of our fwd sr20 cars because we have cross-members.
