LOL - not really, but I sure had fun. I had a co-driver in CASC-ORs solosprint series (coming to you from Canada, eh) so was bumped up into the faster group so the co-driver was placed in the proper grouping. Both of us were gridded last in our respective run groups - as the two days progressed we were both moved well up the grid. My final rungroup (at Mosports small track - the 1.5 mile driver development track) included a NSX, a couple of WRXs, an STi, and I was right in front of a Corvette on the grid.:rofl: Best time of 62.xxx seconds - third in class on Saturday/second in class on Sunday. My co-driver was fourth and third. My co-driver also happens to be my daughter in her first entry into competition.

Between this forum and the autocross one you're in the right spot to start. Do a search for SCCA events and see what's in your area.

August update - I've got a 1:47 Mosport car!

My NX1600 ran the big track in 1 minute 47.6 seconds. Absolutely amazing for a GA16 and I'm thrilled. I'd be even happier if I was driving it. I managed a very respectable 1 minute 49.1 seconds. Katie, my daughter, got the 47!:biggthump
She was third in class behind a Mustang GT and a MX-6. Then a MX-5 and then me in fifth. The tables have turned!
