Hi,

Wondering about an auto-to-manual swap on a 93 classic. Feasible? Cost-prohibitive? Too labor-intensive? Thoughts and opinions welcome. Thanks.

I'm am most definitely aware of the advantages to a 5spd. The only reason I'm asking is b/c I found a 93 w/ 77K in great condition right near here. Its an auto, so the wheels starting turning about a swap. I know its been done, so I was just getting some opinions. Thanks for the input.

a lot of my friends with auto 200sx se-r's usually run in the range of 17.0-16.9. My SE-L manual tranny ran a best of 15.2 with no aftermarket mods. the auto tranny found on the se-r's shift really sloppy and seem to slip a lot. i say do the swap, thats probably your best bang foir the buck.
