To start this off the motor has been pretty much rebuilt. New gaskets, rod bearings, oil pump, water pump, arp head studs, piston rings, cyls smoothed, so the motor is good and I put about 1k miles on the new parts. I have 200sx se 1.6 mani swap to 2.0 mani with the bluebird u12, jwt tuned ecu at 3 bar with z32 maf 370cc injectors 91 oct. walbro 255 pump and aeromotive fpr. I drove from new york back home to PA and have been driving it around here no prob up until just now, I had to be towed. I was at my buddies house moving the coolant tank way to the back against the fire wall and taking out the washer tank to move to the trunk because at the moment I have a top mount and im about to go front mount. I also took off a T I had in the fuel pressure regulator hose that when to the boost gauge and made it so it was just one hose going from the intake manifold to the fpr like it was originally. So I did all that and slapped on the bumper so I could head back home. When I was driving the car I had the window open and I could hear some kind of cricket sound or something and it wasnt from the engine it was somewhere else. I was boosting fine with no problems, af was reading good. I get about 8 some miles away from my house and im holding the rpm at 3k and it kind a sputters and acts like the engine loses power. Im like hmm so I hold it around there again and it does it again but seems to do it longer. It eventually got to the point where no matter how I held the gas at whatever rpm it would sputter and feel like it was losing power. so I had to pull off to the side of the road. I turned it off and then primed the fuel pump and it sounded off, like it was having a hard time or something was clogged. I could hear my needle on the fuel pressure regulator going up to the top of the gauge and then do like a rev limiter sound like ting ting ting ting.....it would peg then want to keep going and just would bounce back a little n go up again. The fuel pressure stuck at like high 40s and wouldnt drop. I tried to relieve pressure by opening the gas tank and it did nothing. I tried starting the car up again and it started, but the idle was at around 1300k then jumped up the 1500k.....it was already warmed up. So i tried driving it and it seemed fine...then did the same deal and I had to stop. So im back home now and I primed the fuel pump and it doesnt sound weird anymore and the needle didnt do the rev limiter thing on the fuel gauge but the idle was still around the 1300k to 1500k range. Another thing was whenever I was stuck on the road and had the car on I revved it and the gauge dropped instead of going up. I have some ideas.....fuel pump is going, or fuel pressure regulator went wack. I hope you guys have some suggestions, help, or something so I can figure this out like testing fuel pump, regulator, checking for loose wires, relays, fuses........let me know. thanx guy, much appreciated.
