Yet another geekout at Ben's. The second classic DET swap I will have done at my place. Anyone up for coming by for this one? BlowN_SpecV is from Louisville, btw.

I would love to go, but my birthday is on the 29th. However, if you wanna do it a different date, I would be up for going and lending a helping hand. I will be gone from 9/28-10/13. Ben is the DET master.

Just took BlowN_SpecV's DET out of the truck. This is the CLEANEST motor I have ever seen! And it is more complete than I've ever heard of. Intake tube, "INTERCOOLER" cover, starter, PS pump, alternator bracket, clutch and flywheel still connected, and everywhere it's CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. I feel kind of proud having it in my garage. :D

Where did he get such a clean engine, and how much did he pay for it?

I don't think i can make it that weekend, Ben. My fiancee and I have to go up to Chi-town to take care of wedding things.

Don't worry Blown_Spec-V, Ben is the master. You will be in good hands:)

Bought the engine from Japan Direct ( www.usedengines.com ) *salesperson JOHNNY*. $1540.00 for the motor!!! Ok RySE-R, Im going to hold you to those high thoughts of BEN;)

What was the shipping charge on the motor? Since we live fairly close.:) I would love to come, but I don't trust my car on drives that long.:(

Se-r sam, it was $115.00 shipped to a residence, would have been only 50-60 dollars to a business(shop). If you want you can park at my place and ride up with me Friday afternoon. Iam only bout 1hr or so away from you.

Hey, Ben, I may try to drop by on Friday or Saturday. I should have off work then. I just moved to Terre Haute, so it will be closer. I plan on doing a swap as soon as money allows, so I would love to help.

Turning into a decent sized geekout. se-r sam is coming, MEclassic from St. Louis, and now Vinny from Charlotte, NC. :) I'd better straighten things up out in the hangar...

Ha...I love sleeping on that couch (must be a DET thing). Just make sure that the bird isn't there. Ben knows what I talkin' about.

I wish I could come, but I have to work until 4:00 pm on Sat and then I'm going to the Greatlakes import battle for my B-Day on the 29th.

Ben, sorry to let you down, but I can't make it - I just found out today that I have a history paper and an architecture project both due next week, and I will need all weekend to work on them. Sorry, such is the schedule of an architecture major, I never know when I'll have free time until the last minute. I'd still like to come out to a geekout at your place sometime though, I will be watching the Midwest forum for announcements.

You need me to bring any tools? When should I come up on Friday? Also, could you give me the address so I can find it? You can e-mail me at not_kwite_right@hotmail.com I have a few nifty tools like micrometers and such from my last job, and I'd be more than willing to bring them.
