sup guys, just wondering what everyone's been doing lately. My b13's Odyseey PC925 battery died recently, got sick and tired of dealing with $190 paper weights annually, so I decided to buy a full size battery and mount it in the trunk.

60 amp hour battery, vs 24 or so amp hour PC925

bought a battery relocation kit and screwed it onto a board

The board is held down with suction cups that were drilled onto the bottom of the board (didn't want to drill too many holes in chassis), and a single large bolt that goes through the chassis holds it all in place.

Cool! How much did the parts cost and where did you get it from? I've always thought about doing this but along with all my other projects for my car, just haven't had the time and energy to do so. Hell, my weekends for the forseeable future is family stuff and yard work.

Oh, I did have to convert my A/C to the new stuff due to a hole in my low pressure hose. About 3 week now and it works nicely. I didn't even have to change the o-rings!

battery relocation kit - around $120 after shipping (so ridiculous these days)
battery bill's sealed battery size 27, 60Ah - $80 (1 year free replacement and 5 year prorated warranty which is pretty decent)
1/2" plywood board, other hardware from city mill - $20
2 in 4 out power distro block from car stereo express - $40 bucks (sales guy knocked off $10 and threw in the glass/wafer fuses i needed in for free)

I probably could have pieced something together on my own for alot cheaper, starting with a marine battery box, but i just said fuck it, i got lazy heh, I didn't want to bust out anymore ingenuity than I had to in order to get this done. I also could have skimped on the power block: initially i just had everything connected to the + cable end with a nut and bolt lol... but that didn't look too safe since the bolt could have short circuited anywhere nearby while driving.

I'd recommend checking out chriscar's howto if you wanna do it for real cheap.
