I have a MINT XE with a SR20DE swap also has KYB shocks and Megan Racing spring It also has SE-R sway bars, SE-R trunk (just got painted two weeks ago), SE-R front bumper, and SE-R Seats I spent alot of money and way to much time on this car... The only bad thing is that the throw out bearing is bad it only has 1st and 3rd and it only cost 30 bucks for the part and cant do it because i have to keep an eye out for my wife cause she's about to pop soon... the interior is super mint as well... I really need the money, my wife is about to give birth with the next damn child and I cant afford to keep on putting money on this car... $1,800 O.B.O... NO RUST PERIOD...

I forgot to mention it has a GREDDY exhaust and short throw shifter and the motor only has 87,000 miles...

does ac work? does speedo and tach work? also what year is the car? the front is 91-92 but engine bay looks 93-94.

the car is a 91 and the SE-r parts are also from a 91 everything works i got the AC hose off cause i cant find the bolt that connects to the compressor but when it gets connected it will work

let's not forget that changing the throwout bearing is practically the same as doing a clutch job though (lots of labor).. because the trans has to be removed to change it...

I guess if you don't mind and have time and knowhow, its just factored into the equation of 'needs work' and no biggie but for someone like me, its PITA without a lift and not something I enjoy having to do at all.

^^^ I understand, I dont mean to be rud but i rather spend $30 + Labor than $200-$400 for the tranny + Labor ^^^

no worries as long as someone understands that if they don't do it themselves, the labor adds about $300-$500 depending on where you go (not just $30 fix)

..its just that I bought a car before that 'just needed a clutch available for $100' and when it was all said and done, there went $750 instead of 'just $100'


Like I said, if someone is doing their own labor and doesn't mind the work, no biggie.. it's just a personal pet peeve when people make it out seem like something is a super cheap fix when it isn't.. and yes, of course it is much nicer to just have to replace a TOB instead of a whole tranny replacement if that is the only issue (no dispute from me)


I suspect if you fix the TOB problem and prove that's all it is, you can sell your car for $2200 easily enough :-)
