sounds great, steve! you don't have a bent valve (good comp on all cyls). and i'd say that your cam journals sound ok, too (the only thing i might be worried about is if one of the cam caps got slightly bent so that the bores that the cams sit in are no longer 'square'.
i'd do just what you are doing; try the new cam and see how it runs? i've got some good footage of the beginning of the sat's race to put up soon; some of your car on there!
good luck

Ok so we have the same setup -- I just have 900 fronts...I had to go to 900 to keep the front suspension from compressing too much. It was cracking open the axle joints and the axles would fail.
your car is probably a tad looser then. the integras i've driven have always seemed looser than the accord. i think the way the accord is setup right now suits my driving style better, b/c i like to make the car work for me, rather than have to 'follow the car' if that makes sense. when i can be more agressive, it tends to be my 'zone' per say. i'm still waiting for wade's and stephen's videos to see how the car looked in 3rd person.

Great to see everyone again.
Josh's car really lacked power but made up for it in the corners. The guy really knows setup. I even got pulled by Harper. Normally I push him down the straight. The only thing wrong with the car was a breather leak on the headers making me think the car was on fire. Not mine, super cautious. Sucks as I was starting to catch Todd when this happened. I really was getting a good feeling from the car. It is in no way like mine, even if it is an identical car.
We both will be at VIR in July with the death race challenge cars.
Just found 2 VG33E Nissan v6's out of Mercury Villager's for 700 bucks for the pair!
My stock VG33 vs. his cammed vg30 was no comparison. I showed him video of Harper killing me on the start and sold him a VG33! Thanks Harper!

hey joe! it's awesome to hear that you are 'back in the saddle'! i'll look forward to seeing you at VIR!
here's the partial clip from sat's race; camera fell off the mount and was hanging by the strap for the last third of the race. i qualified very poorly, and let down the Probenstien!

i'm be there!!! i'm thinking that i've got to somehow get a bit more oomph out of the 'Stien; scott's #67 has been pulling me on the long straights there, and i think it's gonna be tough this time in july... i'm really considering trying half a tank of 100 oct, and pushing the timing advance the rest of the way on the disty....
i hope you get it all together and running great, steve!
