Ok. First thing I want to say is I have been doing alot or research on boosting and still plan on it so please don't get mad if I ask stupid questions lol. I have a 96 sentra with a ga16de with about 150k miles on it. It runs awesome but am starting to piece together a cheap turbo kit for a small amount of boost.

I am either going to by a t3 Garrett off eBay from a Audi or a t25 Garrett from a u13. I am going to weld a flange on a stock manifold and make my own 2.5" downpipe to the stock cat and run a 2.5" cat back with a resonator and a matrix muffler. I am going to get a eclipse side mount stock intercooler with my own piping, stock maf and a blitz blow off valve. And going to get a nissport oil adapter to run the oil line for the turbo.

If I end up with the t25 I will only go to 6psi, not sure with the t3. Bassicaly I want to see if anyone had anymore imput on what else I should do. This is nit for alot of power. It is more for experience and just to do it really. I have been talking with someone who just put on a kit and didn't change anything with the ecu or anything special like the except he did use a different fuel pressure regulator. And he is only running 10 psi on a t20 Garrett.

Again I apologize if I seem like a noob but this is my first turbo and I have done alot of research but somethings don't show up everytime so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok. I have just started getting some of the pieces together. Last week I got another stock manifold and I just picked up a td04l turbo that came off a wrx with about 38k on it. Again any imput would be helpfull. Especially about this turbo. I know the td04 is a mitsu turbo but is used by alot of popular models. But one thing I can't figure out or find is a flange for it. I am trying to find out if a t4 flange is the same. Probably not, but like I said I am still learning and any help would be awesome. Thanks.

I'm running into the same problem. I have a b13 I got a budget turbo set up, that I have been piecing together. I have a t25,intercooler,370cc,bov,all piping and no ecu, i was wondering if I'm going to run stock boost do I have to mess with the ecu? Would the car run funny if I leave the ecu stock? Can some one PM me and let me know thanks "first turbo"

I've heard of people running the stock turbo with stock tmic with the stock ecu, on a b13 se-r. They said it ran great, but I dont' know how long that worked out.

Seriously, you both need to invest in a tuned ecu, some injectors, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator. If you're doing it just for the experience it might as well be a good experience. Now, say you don't give a crap about your car and have a spare to drive, go for it anyway you like.
