Okay, just be a 98 200sx se, it needed belts because there weren't any on the car. I got the alternator pulley and ac pulley installed no problem. but i'm having one hard time trying to get the power steering and water pump belt on.. i can't figure out how the tensioner works, yes loosen the 1 bolt on back side correct? then what? i've followed the manual and nothing is moving when i move the bolt... what part should be moving? the power steering pump? i took the tensioner completly off to figure hwo it works and only thing i can figure that the ps is suppost to move... but when i move the bolt that is facing the firewall it does nothing... give space on the back side of the boltand doens't move anything... someone please help!

Is it an SE or SER? I'm not sure about the GA16s, but they might be similar.
Assuming SR20- It's really the same style setup as the alternator, just in reverse. You have to loosen the pivot bolt below the PS pump (from under the car), then the cross bolt on the adjustment block (the square piece that the adjustment bolt threads thru), then the adjustment bolt itself.
The pivot bolt is a little tricky, because there are two other bolts on the power steering pump right next to it. You can't see very well under the car. Here is the back of a motor without the PS pump. You can see where the pivot bolt would be:

It is a a ga16 for now, i just want to get it up and running... I see what your saying, but don't know if the ga is setup like that. I loosened the 2 bolts behind the pump and it didn't really do anything for letting it move at all... maybe i just over looked something... anybody else have any info?
