I think it will bolt right on. Someone already imported one to US. I would love to have that tranny too.

I think the 'standard' SR20VE comes with a 5 speed manumatic tranny, and the 20V comes with a 6 speed manual. I dont think it would be all that difficult to import some of those trannies, I mean they are attached to the 20V motors, why not import the whole thing as one unit, just as bluebird come with the auto AWD trannies. Having said that, try and find a wrecked 2002 primera......
give it a couple of years and maybe we'll see some. I'm guessing this tranny is stronger that ours, so you probably wouldnt have to worry about welding, cryoing etc to make it stronger. Anyone know if this 6 speed comes with a HLSD? (please please please!!!)

This 6 speed manual tranny is suppose to be much stronger than ours. I just found out that tranny doesn't have LSD at all. You could choose a V-LSD on QR20DE powered Primera, but for 20V (SR20VE), not even optional. That's too bad.
You could still choose the "Hyper CVT M6" tranny with QR25DE engine, but not available with SR20VE cars.

P.S. CanadianG, thanks for your comment :)

the 20v 6spd manual tranny is a true posi-traction style diff. it is limited slip. hydralic clutch release and a cable shifter like the spev-v sentra. lsd wasnt an option on the sr20ve powered 20v primera because thats the only way it came.

Isn't this the same tranny that JWT is trying to make a kit to install into our cars. One day it may still be an option for you just cost $$$$.

Switching to a cable shifter is like taking a step backwards IMO. I'll stick with my 5 speed tranny.

I thought you were concerned about the hydro/cable and the switch over. I don't really think we are going to be breaking or tranny's with proper care and a JWT clutch. Plus you have a Helical LSD already.

I do wonder what the 6 speed weighs. If it has 6 speeds and is stronger then it would be significantly heavier also. That would seem like a step back IMHO. I see no real reason for a 6 speed anyway. I would like to take the final drive out of a N1 and put it in my current tranny. That would be cool. I may even try this sometime.
