: 10:1 nitrous setup
dreal2500 07-13-2009, 11:24 PM I just bought a 10:1 motor from a friend who was putting a sr20det in his car. He had s4 cams in the motor he sold me but put the s4's in his det and gave me his det cams for my motor. I called JWT they said it might actually gain a little power(they were free with swap) . I have been reading up a little on putting a nitrous kit on this motor but I dont know too much about them. Help needed on a good "cheap" setup, I have a 92 b13 with intake/header and 2.5 exhaust.
Car is my DD so I would like something reliable. Whats the benefits of a wet vs a dry setup or vise versa?

ebay has a nos sniper wet kit for about $295+$35 shipping... last time i checked which is a crazy cheap deal.

dreal2500 07-14-2009, 11:08 PM That nitrous kit is for a Camaro or Mustang. Will the work?
2dr_sentra 07-15-2009, 01:20 AM Its a universal kit. Yes i will work. It just says V8 it doesnt matter. But its a universal kit i can assure you 100% it will work.
dreal2500 07-16-2009, 02:39 AM im thinking about going with a 75 shot. do you think my bottom end will be ok with that? or should i think more about a 50 shot. the motor only has i/h/e/ cams. I have been talking to a couple local guys and some think a 75 might cause some promblems. Im new with this nitrous idea, its just a thought right now.
star-bucks 07-16-2009, 12:34 PM go with a 75 i also have a 10:1 de and i have been spraying a wet 75 shot for more then a year with no problems. I have the same mods as you but i also have a safc for extra tuning. go to youtube and type in gopedxx you can see a couple of videos on how the car runs on a 50 shot!!! trust me you will love it
qwkse-r 07-16-2009, 05:13 PM yea man do at least a 75 shot.....de's are stronger than my ve internally and im doing 75 shot moving to direct port 100-150 shot
2dr_sentra 07-16-2009, 06:41 PM Vex630 is running a 100 dry shot. pm him if you need information.
dreal2500 07-16-2009, 10:47 PM Thanks for the information.will keep you guys posted on how it goes.
wheelzse-r 07-17-2009, 10:19 AM Look up some of old posts. I ran a 95 wet shot on a stock motor for years. These motors will handle it easy. Just make sure you have a good clutch. adjust timing and your spark plug temps run it for years.

se200 08-04-2009, 08:24 AM N2o is like crack you will just want more and more.... But start small get the car running perfect with every bolt on you can I.E. Header, after market cams, intake and exhaust before the spray it. The gains in hp from N20 are X2 with a good bolt on motor and 10:1 is even better. Always .... always run a wet shot.... dry is not an option if you ask me and I have run N2o on all my cars. When you do spray the car start with a 50hp shot and work your way up checking fuel and timing the entire time plus keep in mind this is your DD and hitting the engine hard with N2o in low rpms is bad joojoo.Pm me if you have any ?s I would be glad to help out.
sentra20t 08-06-2009, 09:35 AM i did it so much that it started to add up ( $$$ wise, $45 to refill add up fast)
but in the end, i just bought a DET instead of blowing more money into it
but it is A lot of fun, 75 in my 10:1 B13 ran 14.2 with bad tires and reaction time
PJizzle 08-08-2009, 03:52 PM When you did your run, what mods were on your car. What kind of tires did you use, slicks or street tires? I'm thinkin bout runnin 75 shot on my 92 ser as well. My car has intake, header, exhaust, flywheel, and s3 cams
qwkse-r 08-09-2009, 07:49 PM go for it bro...nitrous loves hi compression...this my setup

PJizzle 08-10-2009, 06:57 PM With the mods i have on my b13, can anybody give me an estimate on what i should be running a 1/4 mile at? It's a 92 se-r with full interior, intake, header, exhaust, 11lb flywheel, and a set of s3 cams. I'm just curious because depending on my 1/4 mile time, i might just buy a different motor for it. I plan on running a 75 wet shot. Any estimates are greatly appreciated, thanks

I used to run about 12.4 in the 1/4 mile with 22x8x15" slicks with a 75-100 shot. I also had intake, header, exhaust, flywheel and cams.
I'm selling just what you need :D
