can some one list the mph that each gear redlines at? (ie. 1st-33mpph, 2nd 64mph)

Here are mine:

1st- 43-44mph
2nd- 65mph
3rd- 95mph

I've never topped 4th or 5th. Too scary going 120 in 4th!

It looks like you have a stock ECU anyway. so your stuck at 109mph.

Well, the easiest way (and not illegal to boot) is to check your mph at 1/2 redline (3750 rpm) and double it. This will also minimize speedo error in the higher gears.

Easy peasy

Hmm no I have the G20 ecu. I don't think this is considered stock since my car isn't a G20. With my stock ecu I was going 60 in 2nd. And these are just approximations I might be going 1-2mph slower of faster. When I'm that high in the rpm I try to keep from hitting the fuel cut rather that looking at my speedo. I guess I should have posted this info before so I would have bitter people mocking me.

My indicated speeds for 1-3 are 37, 73, and 95mph. Never redlined 4th or 5th.
I have a JWT ecu.

Its not thats scary crono hehe

I don't have a g20 ecu YET but my speedometer dies sometimes and when its dead the speed gov. doesn't work so in a long straight away iv gotten my car in 5th gear up to 6,300rpm...so I don't know how much is that maybe 120-130 around that area. it feels fun! haha..but try it when there is no cars obviously..

I only try it on this only place in the highway 20 mins from here that it has no lights no nothing and no entrances and like over 1-2am there are like just 5 cars throu there traveling so you know...you can do it. and its like 20 miles straight away :D

When i lived in VA there were some great places to almost top it out. There was a mile long tunnel that you could see to the end of and at 2-4 am there would be no cars. I got my se-r up to 135 INDICATED in there before. Of course this was when I was a young and dumb 19 year old.

I don't know how you guys can top it out at 95 in third with a non-JWT ECU. I believe mine tops out at about 87-88 though I never actually have tried to hit the rev limiter but rather shifted when it said 7500 on the tach.

and back on topic, Mine is around 32,63,94,124,158(what they are mathmaticaly geared to I am not in anyway claiming that I made it anywhere close to 158) I went to an indicated 136 once but only once.

Its no deal, sakerocket. Kind of my fault I should have put it on my signature. I just haven't updated it in a couple of months. 73 is a long ass way to drag out 2nd though...whoever it was that put that. I wish I could do that. At any rate I doubt a JWT ECU is going to help raising the mph more than 1-2mph since it wil just give me 200-300 extra rpms I can drag out.

That would be me, remember I said indicated. I don't know how accurate my speedo is.

And that's why I say you should read your speed at 1/2 redline (3750rpm) and double it to get your speed at redline. Besides not having to scream your engine, you can hold the tach steady to get an accurate reading, you don't have to go a million miles per hour in the higher gears, AND since speedometers loose accuracy as speed increases, you'll get a more accurate measurement.

158 sounds close. I calculated mine not too long ago, and I came up with 150.

True so true. I guess those old B13's aren't so reliable after all! :D jp

your gears actually are "theoretically" matched to your tach.

at 5th gear redline your speedo will read around 148~149mph.
