I just got finished installing a set of new GR2 struts on my 91, I heard that as long as you don't dissconnect the tie-rod end you wont need an alignment, is this true or am I going to need to get one?

As long as the tie rod wasn't touched your toe shouldn't change.
Toe in and toe out is what really eats up a set of tires, and I mean really fast. Your camber might be a little off but probably not enough to to really wear down your tires.

I would do it just to be sure though. If you have expensive tires why take the risk?
