I have a 95 B14 with a jdm sr20de and after I idle for a little while it sputters when I press on the gas to start moving again. It gets worse the longer I idle. I have replaced the fuel filter and the spark plugs. I think it may be a sensor but being obd1 I would have to pay for someone to run the check engine light codes and I would rather not do that. I was wondering if anybody has had this problem and knows how to fix it. Thanks

You can pull the codes yourself, search this forum or se-r.net. Also you could also pick up a consult cable(~$50) and use free software to pull the codes and check your sensor outputs.

Sounds like a misfire. Check the distributor cap and rotor. There could be cracks on the inside. You will be able to see the spots where it is discolored. Make sure you have a good quality set of spark plugs and plug wires, like NGK's. Cheap stuff, or the wrong type will cause you more problems.

Yea I just put in some ngks and the distributor, rotor, and cap are fairly new. I guess I will look for me a consult cable. thanks and I have ngk wires as well

I have the exact same problem. I changed all the same stuff you did and mine is now sputtering on idle, especially after idling for 30seconds+. It also seems to hesitate after shifts. I think it may be the gap on the spark plugs but I havent checked them yet.

Did it start all of a sudden or gradually?
Are all your wires "snapped" in? Firing order?

I think it has happend gradually because I didn't notice it much until I started driving my NX and swapped back to the 200
