There are plenty that you can join up with.. just do some searching..
You can be in Audi club and participate in DE weekends (no you don't have to own an audi to participate) www.audiclubna.org
Next is BMW club (same thing as audi club)
then there are the independents like Chin motorsports, Traqdaze, MVP and others...
Here is a good way to find clubs by you:
Pick a track you want to go to, then look up the track schedule and see what clubs have it for rent and contact the clubs and go from there.

SCDA is pretty decent. NASA/PDA will be doing an event at Monticello Motor Club on Friday 9/18. www.pdadrivingschool.com

does the car have to be registered and stuff to be able to be used in most of these events? cause my car doesnt have a title or any type of paperwork with it.

As long as it passes their tech inspection for safety, you're good.

Some local non-sanctioned (not SCCA or NASA) NE clubs who do autocross & HPDE days. A lot of the clubs if you join gets you a fair break on prices for events. I personally participate in and recommend a few -
Fairfield County Sports Car Club (http://www.fcscc.com/)- Autocross in CT
CT Autocross and Rally Team (CART) (http://www.cartct.com/index1.shtml)- Autocross in CT, track days in PA, NJMP, CT (LRP)
COMSCC (http://www.comscc.org/) - track days in NH, Watkins Glen, Summit, and a few more.
SCCNH (http://www.sccnh.org/)- NH-based, Autocross, Hillclimbs, other events
Thing to keep in mind is most Northeast based clubs hit the same venues and usually run a lot of open track time and Time Trials, they don't have to be local to you for you to sign up for their events. Non-members may pay a little more, usually pretty minimal. CT CART has run 3 days already this year using the various Poconos Raceway infield/oval road courses, with promotion pricing of $150/day including a TT. There's one left in August on the North Course (http://www.cartct.com/time_trial.shtml), and then a 3-course day in Sept. where they run all the courses all day, you get about as much time as you can digest on the course.
COMSCC is MA-based but runs events all over, and they hold very good quality school days, usually HPDE day 1, open sessions and TT. They're serious about their instruction and do not just rubber stamp people if they're not a total hazard to themselves - the bar is a little higher but easily achievable.
Check around, these kind of clubs are perfect if you're not looking to run a series or get your SCCA license, etc. you still get to compete at a decent amateur level in a time trail format where it's a lot safer for everyone involved to hold events with a wide mix of experience and abilities.
Personally the CART event down at NJMP so far this year has been my fav, it was a blast.:biggthump
Street registration only impact you if you wanted to run in a street class, e.g. Street Touring where the car usually has to be street legal. There's always classes for fully trailered cars not street legal.

we have 2 cars without a title, not plated or insured/street legal.. not a problem with trailering it to all the events we've attended!
(this includes audi club to NASA)
