i run 32 psi, 40 would be to much imho for daily driving.

I'm on stock size 185/65 UK Primera with Uniroyal Rallye 540's, which came out top for all-round wet/dry handling in Auto Express last year, not sure if they're available in the US.
I find 33 front and 27 rear gives great responsive handling. You can 'tune' in the over/understeer with the rear pressures, the lower the rear pressures compared with the front the more it goes towards oversteer but it never quite makes it if you see what I mean. The UK Nissan recommended pressures are 35 front 32 rear for a driver + 2 passengers, but I hardly ever have passengers and find 35/32 too hard and the tyres wear in the middle which proves softer is better, my tyres wear even at 33/27.

I stick to around 32-35 in front and 30-32 in the rear. I have it high enough so I don't roll over. It does depend on the tires too.
I wouldn't run anywhere near 40 on the street as that's close to most tires max rated pressure.

I run 32 Front and 29 rear. It rides nice for every day driving.

When auto-Xing I run 38 front and 36 rear.

Watch your wear and try diffrent presures.
