Well, I was just wondering about you guy's input...
My SE-R is completely stock, except i have a new set of tires on the stock wheels (read: yokohamas).... and i was wondering what you guys drop the clutch from (rpm), for optimal launch, and minimum burnout? :D

Screw around with launches. Whatever gets you off of the line closest to (or right on) your powerband is what you want to do. Spinning your tires a little bit is required. Spinning them way too much is a no-no. Not spinning them at all means you got more RPM's to go.

At the track I found that launching at 4500-5000rpm with a very quick clutch slip works well. This keeps you in the powerband and will get you 2.1-2.2x 60fts, however on the street it is totally different. The best launch IMHO would be around 4000-5000rpm with little wheelspin and should be completed in less than 1 sec. Basically you release the clutch and feed the gas in as much as your tires will allow, while the hole process from launch to rolling is less than 1 sec.

i launch at around 3500 rpms on kumho 712's. i average a 2.2 60ft time, just depends on if ya get it just right to get a 2.1 60 ft.
i usually spin like crazy, but id rather spin than bog the motor down
