Note the direction of the slots and the R sticker ;) So based on the above pictures in post 1, I would say the rotors are on the right way in that pic... It is designed that way to allow gas and dust to be centrifugally thrown away from the centre of the rim.

This is true with this particular setup because the rotor surface is larger than the contact patch of the pad. The larger rotor can take more heat and prevent fading but moving the pad toward the outer edge of the rotor without fully covering the surface (using the NX caliper) requires more torque to overcome the roatation compared to its previous rotation (basic mechanics/rotor dynamics). Unless youre gonna get the Wilwood calipers to run the larger pads youre really not much better off other than those are really nice rotors and should hold up to more abuse than oem ones. I have 11" wilwood kit on my turbo NX w/ the Altima MC. Ive had it for a very very very long time and dont really care for more. I thought about doing the 6 POT kit, but I dont think I would benefit that much more...

Also the grinding required to fit this will not weaken the caliper if its done properly. NX Calipers are pretty beefy.


jose, after running the car hard and then hitting the breaks hard (not slamming but hard) from a 130mph plus run i got fade like a mother towards the end as if she didnt even wanna stop,

i have nx calipers, new brake boost, alitma mc, braded lines all around, generic rotors, and hawk pads. now she does stop good but i need more grip and way less fade.

im running and want to stay with my 15x7 sportmaxx x002 rims.

what do you suggest ?!

I run 2 different sets of 15" wheels. I have the Forged Wilwood calipers (Billets suck) and the 11" slotted/drilled rotors. I forget the compound of the pads I have. You can start at a mild compound and work your way to more extreme ones until you are happy with your stopping.

Stratton, when is the last time you bled your brakes? What fluid are you using?

panx2k i bled the brakes about 2 or 3 weeks ago when i replaced a bad braded line.

its stops good dont get me wrong but i need more.

If you want to step it up, you should get Carbotechs, but that's a whole different level of pricing. XP10's would probably be the best compromise of high speed stopping, while still working when cold. I run Carbotech Bobcats on the street and XP8's on the track, but I'm not going from 130 to 0 on my Dunkin Donut runs like you.

I think you are right. I am going to do some wheel swapping between my 2 cars over the weekend and will be placing B14 wheels on my car that has the 11.0" Wilwood kit on it.

the B14 wheels dont clear the 11" kit without a spacer. Theres several aftermarket 15s that do, but not all of them clear either...

Your first clue should have been the AXXIS box they were in!

There's a listing in the roadrace section I think of 15" wheels that fit over the 11" kit. I personally know that 15" Enkei RS6's fit tight and RPF1's will barely touch the studs before hitting the caliper...
