My slicks are 22x8x13's. I run them at 8psi. I still spin them on takeoff and when I hit each gear. Getting 1.7 60fts though so it's not too bad lol.

not fair. I'm not running these again until I get some power. ha jk. My best 60ft was a 2.3 on bald NX wheels. I was actually running my best on those. 9.69 spinning through most of 2nd. now I have 15's with good tires and never hooked, and ran a bunch 10's with horrible 60 fts.
2 passes with the slicks, one a 10.2 launching at 3500, then a 9.8 launching at 5000. Never even barked.

I have my tranny on the ground, I'm debating on which clutch to throw in there. I have another OEM one in new shape, and a 6 puck f1 cheapo in new shape. Long haired guy Matt, had a 6 puck in his car for like 4 years and it wore out horribly and ruined his flywheel. I'm just afraid of that and the clutch cable issues with that 6 puck.
I may just go 6 puck and stock PP. Suggestions? I wanna run those slicks and try again, but I don't wanna run a clutch that's gonna ruin my flywheel. Possibly break a trans?

I haven't broke anything. I've been launching mine at 6k with the nitrous but I'm going to try 5500 next to see if it spins less. What I really need is bigger slicks. When I run all motor I launch as high as possible, well over 7k at times. I use the launch control feature when spraying just so that I know I'm launching at the same rpm each pass.

well, you can try my slicks if you'd let me try yours. :biggthump
is 24.5x8x14 big enough? They clear when I turn and all that, I'm a little low too...

guess Ill try the f1 clutch disc. its sprung, so hopefully it'll hold some launches. If I dont like it, I can always pull it out and not worry about drag racing for a while. :tear:

The 24.5's would be really close on my car. I know they'd hit when I was slowing down, I hit the 22's lol. As for the clutch, I used to have a Spec Stage 2. Loved that clutch for daily driving and it did great for drag racing all motor, car ran 8.8 with it and a bone stock motor. It just wouldn't hold up with the nitrous. Since I needed to upgrade I figured I'd spend the money and get one that I knew would hold up.

been movin slow in putting the tranny in. I've been doing that engine bay project, had the dash out for some wiring. I put the interior back together. *** rest and get ready to fight the trans first thing in the morning. I'll be driving it tomo if my wiring isn't screwed up. I'll see how that clutch feels.

You gonna make it out to the hill any time before the season is over? lol when you wanna go to Bama?

Yeah I been planning on going up to the hill sometime soon actually. I'll wait a while before I go down to huntsville, once it gets cooler they move the T&T to sunday, so I'll go then.

Yeah, but then you have the advantage because you'd be RWD...technically.
