I got My header for my car today and I want to paint it and weld the emissions I don't need. I just want to make sure the sent me the right one. I know people have had problems with pacesetter shipping the wrong header. Is there any way to Identify the sr20 header from looks alone. I don't want to paint and weld it untill I am 100% sure so I can return it if it's wrong. Also Which is the pipe I need to weld for a 99. It didn't come with the plug needed, but I was gonna weld it any way. I'm assuming it's the lowest one with the small hole at the end of the threads toward the inside. I already have 1200* paint ready to paint tommorro at work, after I have it welded and stripped.

Compare to this:

The bottom most hole is for the AIV, the top most one is for the EGR. The one in the middle is for the o2 sensor.

http://www.wes.nissanpower.com/images/hsheader.jpg courtesy of wes' site, so as you can see the 1.6 and 2.0 are very diff in terms of looks even though his is a hotshot the ps ios the same design

How are you gonna block the aiv hole?

I had it welded. I apinted the other two sections today. I'll remove the paint from the primary and paint that tommorro.

Should I make the tin can gasket or is the gaskets it comes with alright.

Hmmm, good question. My original gasket has lasted me over a year and a half now. My car sees the redline/rev limiter everyday.
( if I blow it up its DET time ) No leaks at all. I love my PACESETTER!!!!

I also took my dremal tool when I had my header off last time and port matched it .just opening the edges around the port and polished it up on the inside. be careful not to get in the piping because its kinda thin. I just made it a funnel shape cut into the mounting plate, also on the primarys to secondary's (they didnt match to well anyway)

:D I did that as well. The edges were too EDGY for my taste. So I curved them a lil bit. :D

Is that the gasket that came with your pacesetter or one you made.
