After cleaning my p/s risivoir the fluid keeps turning brown,and when I turn the steerin wheel I feel this funny feeling and I can hear the p/s makin that whining noise.So I want to remove my power steering,In a safe way w/o using that eliminator kit.I have nothing aginst that kit I just want to do it now,as in soon as someone tells me how NOW.I don't want it to freeze up and mess up my JDM.Please if someone can offer any good advice I WOULD REALLY GREATLY APPRECIATE IT,thanx

The kit is the only way to do it safe.

What did people do before the kit came out?

I know that whine you are talking about my buddies classic had a slight PS leak, and after a while after he bought it when the fluid got low it would make that weird whinning/humming sound.

They never removed the system. You need the pump for the water pump belt to work. If there is no fluid in the PS pump, it can lock up.
