There hasn't been any chatter on this yet so I thought it being my first "official" race, I would start.

At this point, there are 3 in PTE including me. Looks like I will podium :)

We'll have more than that! Also -- I tried to post the following in the NASA forum and they deleted it because its a "competing event". Hehe, whatever, its the day before the NASA event:

The Reisentoter Region of the Porsche Club of America is having a DE event on the Friday (9/21/2009) before the NASA MA weekend. If anyone would like to participate the fee is $150 for the day and everyone should get 2 hours of track time! Here's your chance to get a look at the new concrete patches before the rest of the guys!

If anyone is interested please send an email to track@rtr-pca.org or feel free to ask me any questions.

Reisentoter is a very non-Porsche friendly club. I'll be running in my PTE Integra in the instructor group along with Todd Reid in his Ford Probe and a few other NASA regulars.

another event i'll miss. but good news, aj rebuilt my tranny, and said that it was trashed. it will be nice to be able to use 2nd, and shift in the 4th 100% of the time now.

scca EV welcome aboard. first race, all i was thinking was "don't go off" and "finish." make sure to add "don't forget about the flag stations" to your list

Has anyone confirmed what turns currently have concrete on them?

Also, I'll be putting the trans back together Friday if all of the parts come in today. Installation on Saturday. I replaced the 3rd gear set and the synchros for gears 2,3,4. They've been in there for 250K miles so I guess it's about time :-).

Oh, and when I took the trans apart, the large snap ring that you see when the end cap of the case is removed... was off and loose. There's a good chance that's the reason for my 3rd gear popout and gear whine.

I can confirm, I ran the test day last weekend. T1 has fresh concrete, I didn't see it anywhere else.

Five-seven is bumpy, but seemed to be holding together, the rest of the track felt like normal.
