This can be a little confusing so here's the scoop. Calum takes your ECU and adds a daughter board with a replaceable pair of chips (the Basic) or sets it up to be tuned directly by your computer through a cable (the Real Time).
In either case, if you tell Calum your setup (injectors, MAF, etc.), he will tell you whether he has a tune that will get you up and running and he will load this tune onto your ECU with the new hardware. But you will need to tune the car properly with a wide band O2 sensor for air fuel ratio. You will also need some dyno time to tune in your timing. Calum is selling you the hardware, not the tune, however, and you should expect to have to customize the tune for your car. This is especially true for a turbo application.
If you get the Basic (assuming Calum still sells them) you will need to also get a chip burner to make changes to the files and then physical swap the chips. So you will need some spare chips as well -- you should know that these are no longer manufactured so they are getting hard to find.
