I thought the SPec V seats bolted right in with th exception of one mounting point being different...

I have SpecV's in my B14. I bought them already modified to fit though, I'll take some pictures later. Whoever modded them (I think these used to be Budsang's? EDIT: they were byronchrisp's) welded on some extra tabs, it looks kinda shady but it holds up fine and the seat feels like it's in a good place. There's also a HOW-TO about it somewhere...

I found this, it wasn't the thread I was thinking of but I think it should help.

EDIT: Here's the one I was thinking of...

yeah i read those threads as well. i was curious instead of cuttting and welding. removing the bottom peice and using it on the spec v seats so you can just bolt in the b14 rail

I wouldn't waste my time on these seats fabric is horrible. And yeah you can put them in a b13 or b14. With little modification. You just bent the front brackets down and just modified the rear left side bracket. Close to the seat belt. You guys can cut out your b13 bracket and weld it to the spec v seat

What about drilling out the rivets on the specv rail. Cut out b14 bracket drill amd bolt on???

i just read on another thread a guy did it and posted pics to show it, the only difference id that you have to bend the front holes down because they stick straight out. so just bend them to about a 90* angle and your good to go. you will need a vice grips and a blow torch. just to heat up the rails and make it easier to bend where you need it to be.

just bended the fronts. i never would think to use a torch. that metal is very flexible when cold. plus using a torch would dry up most of your lube on your rails

i dont think the seats will sit right if the unused bracket is exchanged for the b14 one. the other side bracket sits flat on the specv seats

bracket that is no longer usable in a b14,b13,nx,etc can be drilled out instead of cut. use a 3/8 bit on the robust rivets and a 1/4 bit for the small tack weld in between. bend it up and down and comes off clean!!!!
