my stepbrothers 200sx se-r has a total of 275 on his compression numbers? what would cause it to be so high?

What do you mean by "total"?

If the FSM compression test procedure isn't done, don't make decisions based upon those numbers.

How the hell does he have 275? Are you using the correct gauge? Sounds like you are using the metric numbers on your gauge. It should be around 178psi.

compression numbers depend on how many time your crank the motor over. im not sure what the FSM states, probably 5, so you probably cranked it over a lot more. just make sure the numbers are even throughout the motor

Are u sure ur not dyslexic and the 2 is actually a 1??? 175 sounds abour right. 275 and that car should travel in time. ;)
