Hello,

this evening we have installed the lowering springs on my NX1600. But now when I steer to the left or the right hard the springs are making a noise; they "crack" or something like that.

Could anyone tell what's wrong? Another guy told me it was the rubber where the springs are in.

But don't know sure; please let me know if you have a clue!

By the way, the lowering of 4cm front and rear looks pretty nice!

well seeing as you've lowered your car....are you sure its coming from your springs??

take into consideration your chasis is now lower to the ground, whereas your wheels are still in the same spot. check for clearance space of your tires, see if they are not hitting your wheelwells or anything like that.....

i really cant see a way your spring is being touched by your wheels....your struts that hold your springs will always be above your wheels so they could never touch each other.

just check your wheelwells for clearance, its probably one off those splashguard covers in there

Hello,

the weels are not hitting the chassis, so that's not it.
The sound is coming outta the space located under the hood. The round covers; if you know what I mean.... :)

Sounds like the bolts are loose. Try to tighten them. I am talking about the 3 bolts on the Strut tower.

You may have the thrust washers in the wrong place. The washer goes between the top spring seat, and the upper mount.
