hi just curious if there is any technical data or field experience to make one better then the other. i saw there is a 100 dollar difference and that koyo needs a radiator cap where mishimoto comes with one. well any feedback is good feedback. thanks:biggthump

The Koyo is direct replacement for a SE-R radiator.

you can re use cap and hoses if you want too as well.

few local guys have used them without a hitch, no major problems. They actually like them, i am looking into getting one. $100 cheaper than the koyo

I have a buddy that swapped his Mishimoto for a Koyo and it runs cooler. I can't remember off the top of my head how much cooler it ran though.

hmmm, but for me i am na and not having heat problems, i just wanna get rid of my 13 year old radiator. but if you can get actual data that'd help.

Did his mishimoto rad. have the correct inlet and outlet ports, If he had the smaller 1.1 then that can be a reason why the koyo ran cooler.

I ran a mishimoto half size on one of my hondas and I had a koyo previous to that and they ran at literally the exact same temp. Anyone have a link or website that has mishimotos for a good price. Koyos go for like 290 shipped on ebay are there better deals than that else where on mishimotos

I have an off brand rad that has the 1.6 ports in my se-r, but it has the same capacities as all the big rads. Its a lot cooler than OEM. As soon as my thermostat opens, the car is cool again. My stock temp gauge never comes off of the coldest point unless I'm actually setting still for a while with no air flow across it.

My friend (sr20?) has a mishimoto from ebay in his aviner set up. We haven't even put any fans in at all and he's been riding around for a month and never over heated, or even got close to heating up. The mishi has all the spots for stock fans, its a direct replacement too.

You must have saw the spec v price on that 290. But there's a group buy on here where you can get the mishi's for the same as ebay is selling.
