Figured we could use a thread related to Time Trials, whatever fits.
Ran 2 at Pocono this weekend, a blast and a 1st and 2nd place finishes in ST4.

If I had known, I would've stopped up :(
What club? I'm interested in clubs that run weekend days at Pocono since it's only 20 minutes up the road from me. I keep meaning to call Pocono themself to get a listing so I can go instruct with other clubs up there

Oh man Kieran I'm sorry, we ran three events (CART CT) with $150 fees (down from $230), member or not. Only one left - all three courses and format is open course all day except for TT - no run groups, we just drive except for lunch, Individual TT and Team Relay (5 car teams, handicapped by individual TT combined times). First time you run with car you'd just have to take a check ride with an instructor and then you're on your own (in your case). One of three courses will stay open for those not interested in TT.
Last CART event this season is this month - all three courses, choice of TT on North or South (IIRC), all day, price IMHO is still a little high at $275, after all how much can you drive in one day? Give me all day on North and I'm happy.
* forgot to add most are Monday or Friday, last one is a Monday
September 28 Circuits Maximus II This is the big one. Three tracks available on one day. We run the North, South and East course, with plenty of time available on all three. The day includes two time trials (North and East) and a Team Relay on the North Course. During the lunch break, we will be taking parade laps on the 2.5 mile NASCAR course. An unbelieveable value! Event cost $275.00 NEW LOW PRICE

Next choice I can think of is EMRA, but they're done at Pocono as of Sunday for the season. They are running Summit and LRP, but not until Oct and Nov http://www.emraracing.org/emraeven.htm
Other than CART CT I don't know who else runs at Pocono rest of this season, I am guessing Chris might.

Sweet. I've seen pics of your car in action, nice ride and sounds quick, too.

I'll have to keep an eye on everyone's schedules for next year. I already kill my vacation schedule at work with PDA/NASA events for weekday events (Monticello and travel to the Glen/NJMP and grand slam at Pocono in mid-July) but it'd be nice to get in on some other clubs' weekend days at Pocono since I'm so close. Like this past weekend I was working on my wife's car but I probably could've stopped up to say hello or go for a ride or two :)

Best thing to do if you have a favorite track to run at is to find out if they have a schedule so you can contact the various clubs/groups running there to see if they will let you run with them ;)

Yup, that's why I said I keep meaning to call Pocono. It's too late this year at this
point but over the winter or early spring I have to remember to call them. There's a new members-only track opening even closer than Pocono and I'm on their list for "employment" as an instructor :) They've crossed one hurdle in terms of environmental impact and community protest but there seems to be one thing hanging them up at this point.
