i have a 96 se-r and i just put a intake adapter i put the sensor through the top of the filter and after i put it in neutral for a few minutes the RPM's drop dramatically to like .2 and almost stalls. Does anyone know what this is. i'm thinkin it might be the air/fuel ratio. But i do need help i don't want to hurt my engine.

is is an air horn style adaptor, with a smooth transition in to the MAF or just a butcher adaptor. If it's a bad adaptor, the MAF may be getting erratic readings from turbulent air and confusing the MAF, possibly creating idle issues. You will notice that even in the stock airbox, there is a nice transition for the incoming air.
