i got my timing chain tensioner and gasket in today from the stealership and i was reading on se-r.net something about the o-ring. Does this come with the timing chain tensioner? and where and what is it?

No it doesn't you have to order it separatly. I didn't have a problem reuseing my old one, never leaked of course I inspected the old and it appeared to be in good shape so I used it. Its not actually a O-ring but more like a metal gasket with a orange/red rubber in the inner diameter of it.

My bad I re-read your post and you said you recieved the gasket, maybe they were referring to the timing chain cover, there is a O-ring in there.

The gasket only goes on one way. It can go either way, but only one way correctly. There's a small oil hole/galley, make sure the gasket matches it.

yeah the o ring is part of the new tensioner, just put the gasket on the right way and you should be fine......
