: finally got mine tuned.
brennan 09-03-2009, 08:59 PM i picked this car up about 5 months ago turbo'd and on a basemap for a fair price. the turbo was junk, so i sent it out to be rebuilt and fixed a lot of wiring and odds and ends on the car. let me know what you guys think.
jdm sr20de (completely stock), stock t25 setup on 7 psi.
tuned by dave blundell from cincinnati, ohio. 227 whp and 217 wtq. it's plenty of power for an autocross car, but i would like more for the street.

a company called diesel injection rebuilt it, it came out alright..
it has a 1 year warranty if any problems occur.
cost me $537.63

SE-Rious Dino 09-04-2009, 02:02 PM Car looks great. You made 227whp on 7psi with the t25?
brennan 09-04-2009, 05:10 PM Car looks great. You made 227whp on 7psi with the t25?
yes sir.
SE-Rious Dino 09-04-2009, 05:20 PM yes sir.
damn, is it a 10:1 motor? i was told that 7psi on a t25 will only net about 180whp.
STRATTON 09-04-2009, 05:57 PM you want more power turn up the boost. you can go to 12psi safely. but thats max in my book and i tend to play it safe.
you should be good for 235whp to say 240whp.
dino i did a t25 on my old 10:1 it was a nice set up for what it was.

it's called a good tune man. i had 3-4 hours of dyno time.
and yes, a 10:1 motor.
i had a calum chip or whatever and my base pull was 175whp, so the tune was money well spent.

i'll pass on turning up the boost, internal wastegates are prone to creep and spike when you mess with them.
STRATTON 09-04-2009, 09:27 PM yeah on big turbo's.
a small t25 will never push enough air to push open its own wastegate and creep or spike.
ive had a ton of friends and including my self who have ran 12psi on a t25 with no such issues. get a good boost controller and your set.
if you are weary search around the forums bro.

i think i would definitely do that, except i'm tuned for 7 psi now, so there's no upping it.

The #s are encouraging. 12 psi should push you pretty good and safely too. Its just a boost controller or aftermarket waste gate actuator and a tune away man.

kaotekxe 09-05-2009, 02:13 PM nice.. are you running an afc? what did he do for the extra hp in the tune?
brennan 09-05-2009, 03:16 PM i forget what program he used, but he just burned it on a chip for me. the afc is kindof a cheap piggy-back. i am running it along with the map he burned me, but he only used it for some low end fuel tweaking (basically a band-aid so he didn't have to re-tune from scratch again). the car was capable of making more power, but he was just more worried about making it a reliable tune.
t bags 09-05-2009, 04:46 PM sweet #'s and the car looks minty-skip the boost controller and slap some s4's in their along with the hks wastegate actuator..mines holds 12psi min and max 18psi ( so far)
brennan 09-06-2009, 07:58 PM i just talked to my tuner, he used a program called tunerpro on my car.
PwrdByUncleBens 09-07-2009, 10:33 PM Those are very respectable numbers for a t25 at 7psi. I made 216whp on 12psi, so you had me beat. I bet that engine is pretty responsive.
LikeTheMovies 09-08-2009, 01:22 AM I made 213hp on stock boost on a stock de. 3" dp to 2.5" exhaust.
