Is there anyone out there who has a BB SR20DET with a JWT ECU and piggy-backed it with a SAFC? I'm just curious or like some help on how or what you set the SAFC with the tune ECU.

I have both Apexi SAFC and Turbo timer with stock ECU and it works great. I was able to lean out my NA SR20DE open loop (WOT) maps and it felt a lot more powerful but as far as trying to mess with closed loop (non-WOT) you really can't and you shouldn't even bother with it let the O2 sensor deal with it as it will hunt for 14.7:1 while cruising at (non-WOT) and do the work for you. Althought when you are at idle that is open loop and you can tune down the injector to stabilize idle. Honestly if I were going to buy an SAFC I wouldn't buy a JWT ECU our vise versa.

Let me ask this question.... I have the Jwt ecu with 370cc program and I have the AFC controller, I dont have the mass air wire hooked up yet so all it does it get visual readings for me.. I plan to hook it up this weekend and get the car tuned.. Do you really think it will make much of a difference at certain rpms or what?? I have heard so many different opinions on this.. I just need a solid answer..HAHAHAHA.. Any suggestions would be great thanks..

Well I will need to use something, the engine is not running the way it should, it may be running a bit rich and idle is not to stable, it stalls occassionally, but I figured out that problem. I just need to fine tune it,.

I used a JWT setup/Afc combo before. It was great because the car ran like crap w/o the afc. It wouldnt idle right, raw fuel was dumped and like 10mpg. I filled up like twice a week. The Safc relieved all those problems. Only problem was that the ecu fights the changes and misc stuff like throttle points.
After I rebuilt my motor I no longer have any use for it as all those problems went away. The only thing that was changed was my pistons.
