Ok here is the problem. sometimes when I come to a complete stop (at a light or stop sign) my rpms start dancing up and down when the car is at idle. It jumps from 800 to 2000, back down and so on. i'm not touching the gas or anything and she's not in gear. Also sometimes she idles just fine, but when i push in the clutch, there it goes, right up to 2k, take my foot off the clutch down to 800rpms and so on. What in the hell is wrong, need some helpand advice.

Some info about the car:
93' classic W/ Primera swap
no bolt ons no mods, completly stock
136k miles on stock clutch

I'm by no means an expert but, try checking you MAF. When my CAI used to come apart and the MAF couldn't get a reading. It did the same exact thing until the car stalled. Also Maybe try checking the TPS as well.

There are literally a dozen different potential causes of that problem including bad idle parts, vacuum leak, dirty parts, etc. You'll need to go through them and eliminate them one by one. Go to this site for a starting point:

Maybe clean yout throttle body and check your TPS and MAF voltages? Adjust AIV valve? I would try those things first.

Adjust the base idle.
